The Levittown-Island Trees VFW Post 9592 is a Veterans organization whose purpose are fraternal, patriotic, historical, charitable, and educational. VFW Post 9592 is committed to preserve and strengthen comradeship among its members, assist worthy comrades, perpetuate the memory and history of our dead, and to assist their widows and orphans, maintain true allegiance to the government of the United States, and fidelity to the Constitution and laws, foster true patriotism, maintain and extend institutions of American freedom and to preserve and defend the United States from all enemies. Members of VFW Post 9592 are individuals who: 1) Have served honorably in the Armed Forces of the United States in a foreign war, insurrection or expedition that has been recognized as campaign-medal service; and is governed by the authorization of the award of a campaign badge of the United States Government; or on the Korean peninsula or in the territorial waters for not less than 30 consecutive days, or a total of 60 days, after June 30, 1949; or while a member of the Armed Forces served in an area which entitled the individual to receive Special Pay for duty subject to Hostile Fire or Imminent Danger; and 2) Volunteer their time to fulfill the purpose of the organization. The Levittown-Island Trees VFW Post 9592 is also assisted by dedicated and patriotic men and women of the VFW Auxiliary. VFW Post 9592 meets on the second Friday of each month.
