Spotlight On Business – Jon Michael Probstein

The Levittown Chamber of Commerce would like to introduce Jon Michael Probstein who has been a member of the Chamber for several years and on the Board of Directors for the past three years. He has been a Levittown resident for 13 years.

Jon wears many hats. He is a successful attorney who assists people and businesses in all civil matters, a dedicated father of 14 year old twins Michael and Megan (who are both honor students) and as Jon Avner, a professional actor who continues to work in stage, screen, television roles and runs a theatre group called the Killing Kompany Mystery Dinner Shows.

Jon has been practicing law since 1977. In addition to his own practice he acts as special counsel to law firms in New York and Los Angeles. A Qualified Part 36 Guardian, Attorney in Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties, he is also a registered attorney with the NYS Department of Labor for Unemployment Insurance claims and an accredited attorney for claims for veterans benefits. Jon also does pro bono work for the Volunteer Lawyers Project and The Safe Center (regarding domestic violence)

Jon is a regular at the Nassau County Bar Association’s monthly Mortgage Foreclosure clinic helping people navigate the process and he counsels at the monthly Senior Clinics.

Jon is a busy man but finds the time for all!

He is the recipient of the 2015 Thomas Maligno Pro Bono Attorney of the Year award for his selfless commitment to the helping others.
