Spotlight on Business – Jamie Bogenshutz

The Levittown Chamber of Commerce would like to introduce Jamie Bogenshutz who proudly serves as the Executive Director of YES Community Counseling Center. YES has two locations, 152 Center Lane in Levittown next to Wisdom Lane Middle School, and their main office at 75 Grand Avenue in Massapequa. They will be celebrating 40 years of serving the community in 2017, and have been proud members of the Levittown Chamber of Commerce since joining the Levittown community.

YES Community Counseling Center is a non-profit community based organization that has been serving the needs of children, families and adults since they opened their doors in 1977.   Ms. Bogenshutz mentions that their mission is to increase awareness about personal and community issues, prevent and treat substance abuse, and to promote healthy families and a safe community. They do this by developing and providing comprehensive services and programs. They offer the most effective treatments that help people of all ages to respond to issues of loss, divorce, domestic violence and abuse, socialization, drug and alcohol abuse, and bullying. They work with children and families to resolve issues and problems that have caused pain and conflict for years. As an organization that has been in the community for so long, they are well immersed in the many networks of service providers who can offer help and support. Ms. Bogenshutz says trained professionals possess an expertise in the fields of drug use and addiction, trauma, and child and family development.
