President’s Message

Dear Members of the Levittown Chamber of Commerce and the entire community,

It is my honor and privilege to be selected to be the President of the Levittown Chamber of Commerce.  As a business owner in Levittown it is great to be part of such a prestigious organization, let alone to lead it.  It has been a pleasure to work and be part of the community since 2013 as the owner of Minuteman Press of Levittown.  To me, it is important to be able to help all of the members of the chamber, which is why over the past few years I have been engaged in many different committees within the chamber.   One of them being our re-opening committee which planned and helped many businesses  re-open after Covid closures in the spring and summer of 2020.  I was also fortunate to help in our neighboring town as the President of the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce for 2019 and 2020.

The description of Chamber of Commerce on Wikipedia is:

chamber of commerce is a form of business network, for example, a local organization of businesses whose goal is to further the interests of businesses.   Business owners in towns and cities form these local societies to advocate on behalf of the business community.

My goal for the next two years is to lead our members through the Covid crisis and get back to “business as usual” or as close to usual so we can network  and assist each other.  The chamber is made up of mainly small businesses with a few large businesses  as well.  To be a chamber member  means you are looking to grow your business and be part of the community.  We as a chamber hold (in normal times) many events throughout the year that are a way for the community to meet our members and learn about their businesses.  From our Memorial Day Festival to our Fall Festival to our annual holiday lighting, these events  are  for the benefit of the community and our members.

I ask for all who want to be involved and get to know each other, to please come and join the chamber. It doesn’t matter if you have been in business many years or new to the community. We also have many civic organizations that are members. The Officers and Board of Directors invite you to join us.  We hope to grow the chamber and get more business done locally with our SHOP LOCAL emphasis.  By shopping locally we are keeping tax money in our community, which benefits all of our community members.  I am here to help and to lead, so please contact me if there is anything I can or the chamber can assist you with, particularly during these challenging times. We are stronger if we work together.

I wish you all SAFE and happy times!

Sincerely yours,

Michael Levy – Minuteman Press
