Nerissa Palermo $500 as the grand prize winner of the 60 Day Challenge!

The Levittown Chamber of Commerce is pleased to award Nerissa Palermo $500 as the grand prize winner of the 60 Day Challenge. Nerissa purchased carpet from Carpets & Us located at 66 Gardiners Avenue in Levittown. The chamber ran a 60 Day Challenge, offering an opportunity to earn up to $2,000 in cash prizes for shopping and doing business with Levittown Chamber of Commerce member businesses. Michael Levy, president of the chamber commented, “The goal of this initiative was to help our local businesses recover from the effects that the COVID-19 pandemic caused. Our purpose as a chamber is to help our chamber businesses as well as our community. By shopping locally and supporting our businesses we are keeping tax dollars in Nassau County. Now more than ever it is important to support small businesses.”

Points were earned for purchases made at Levittown Chamber of Commerce businesses.  Customers mailed in an entry form along with proof of purchases. Nine prizes were awarded ranging from $50-$500. Nerissa & her husband, Vic have been long time customers of Carpets & Us. “Nancy Skolnik, the owner of Carpets & Us and her staff did a wonderful job promoting the challenge”, commented Levy. “They had many winners from their business.  Our hope with the promotion is for winners of the Levittown Chamber of Commerce 60 Day Challenge to use their winnings to shop at chamber businesses.”
