The Levittown Chamber of Commerce welcomed one of their newest members, J & D’s Fresh Community Market with a ribbon cutting in December.
Owners, Danny & Laura Wodzenski met 20 years ago working in a local supermarket. Danny was working stock and Laura was a cashier working at a delicatessen two doors away in the same shopping center. They fell in love with the deli/catering business and hoped one day they could own their own place.
Danny’s climb up the corporate ladder took off with him entering a co-managers training program where he learned a great deal about the industry. Danny got his first store as co-manager shortly after finding out that Laura & he would be having their first child. Although Laura loved her job she left to dedicate all her time to raising a family.
With dedication and passion, Danny continued to advance with many various jobs such as store manager, field specialist of deli/bakery, district manager, vice president of space planning and senior vice president of operations, overseeing 100 supermarkets. He gained valuable experience with each position.
Danny & Laura were very excited when the opportunity arose to have their own business, J&D’s Fresh Markets, Inc. They thought long and hard about the location, design, offering and pricing they provide. They believe a friendly & convenient fresh food shopping experience doesn’t have to cost a lot.
Come see for yourself. Stop by and say hello to Danny, Laura, Danielle, Jacob and the whole crew at J & D’s Fresh Community Market located at 636 Wantagh Avenue in Levittown or call 516-438-1701.
